Going home with a rose at least once in every semester had become our ritual back in college. There were times that instead of a rose, we had anthuriums, but it was the roses which reminded me of the last curtain calls of our productions.
Once again, with the UP Repertory Company’s Bahay-Ba(ha)yan, the roses were back. Having written one of their plays, “#RevolutionItsMoreFunInThePhilippines” and adapting Nicolas Pichay’s “Pangulo Naming Mahal” gave me a spot on stage for the last show’s bow. And again. the roses.
Here is/(are since i took half a dozen) my rose, the day after the production.
